Empower Your Leadership: Apply for the Agricultural Supervisory Leadership Certificate Program Scholarship
Successful dairy farms need leaders who have effective skills with people. The Agricultural Supervisory Leadership (ASL) Certificate Program offered by Cornell University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences is a great way to learn those skills. Dairy managers, supervisors, and everyone aspiring to learn leadership should take advantage of an exciting scholarship opportunity to help pay for the ASL courses. Six online courses are offered in the ASL Program. Each course is made up of six weeks of instruction on topics aimed at building your leadership and management skills.
CCE Cattaraugus leading a NY Celebration of table Beets in NY State
CCE Cattaraugus will be hosting workshops throughout the month of October to celebrate New York being the largest producer of table Beets (by acre) in the United States with their 2023 harvest. Growers and producers expect this trend to continue. If you are curious about this new number one status, love to eat beets or want to find out more, there are a lot of opportunities to celebrate.
It’s Time – End of the Year Tax Planning
The sun is still shining, crops are still growing, and farmers’ minds are probably the farthest they possibly can be from tax planning. But – Fall is a great time to focus on tax planning and managing tax liabilities. By creating a tax strategy BEFORE January 1st, it’s easier to avoid those (always fun) December 31st equipment purchases and (less fun) stress and headaches.
